This last month has been busy for the Watson girls. Over Thanksgiving my mom came to visit and we were able to do a lot of fun stuff, as well as just hanging out. She also cooked for the freezer and canned soup, so I am set for the nights I don't feel like cooking! The girls LOVED having a Grandma in the house and Sara still looks for her when she wakes up sometimes, and is sad when I tell her grandma went home. We ran into Santa at Seagull book so that was exciting. Sara didn't want to sit on his lap, but she did spend the next half hour grabbing things and taking them to him. We all worked on a gingerbread house that the girls loved doing, my mom bought a great kit at Costco which was actually much simpler and cheaper than getting all the stuff separately. The other big event happened on December 6, when Isabel had her first dance recital. She was pretty excited and not shy, although she did get distracted by the Christmas decorations. She did pretty well and we had fun watching the other dancers. Even Sara paid attention, but she went home early with Grandma so we didn't have to chase her around. The other little girl in the picture is her best friend and our next-door neighbor, Alena. She is in a different class.
We got a great tree this year and decorated it and the house, the girls are all so excited about the whole thing. I don't know what I am going to do after it's over and Scott goes back to Georgia all in 
the next week and a half. Hopefully the new toys will fill some of the void. So we are now just hanging out and counting down until Scott arrives for his visit. We have not seen him since October 15, so we are ready. He will be here from the 24-28, and then back to Georgia until March 3, plus the drive home. We are planning on putting our house up for sale around mid-January, and hopefully we can sell in good time. Although we don't want to move until June. In this market, you can't really be picky, though. There are houses all around us that have been for sale over a year, scary. We are getting plans sent for the house we want to build in Monticello, but timing will be tricky.

Basically, we are all doing pretty well, we have had some germs come through the house, but nothing too bad, and we are ready for Christmas so now just waiting for Scott and hoping those 4 days stretch out really long.

We did have fun, didn't we. I so wish we lived closer...those were golden moments. And I much prefer the thumpity-thump of little ones coming downstaire to pat me awake over the insistent, intrusive beep, beep, beep of my alarm clock. Super blog, Amy.
