To Disney... and Beyond!

I figured it would be easier to just do pics in one post and write in another, considering I can never get the words next to the right pictures, anyways. So here is the latest from us:
Scott finally graduated from FLETC on March 2 and took a few days to drive home. It was very good to finally see him, and have him around. He did very well in his course and got awards for his driving and shooting skills. Not a suprise, but we are proud of him. I guess the instructor shouldn't have told him "no one can get up that hill, it's impossible." Scott did not love being in Georgia, but he learned a lot about being a Law Enforcement officer and all that that entails, like handcuffing, questioning people, and lots of other things I personally hope he never uses. He now has lots of cool toys, from fancy flashlights to a Tazer to a truck, so he is happy. I think he will be even happier when he is in Monticello on his own. He is now training in Ogden, and will be training with different people the next few months.
A few days after Scott got home, he and I drove down to Monticello to sign some things, pick colors, and look at a house similar to ours. It was a long day, 4 hours each way but it was good to be together. We picked most of our colors and agreed on them, and later finished picking our flooring closer to home. We are excited to get going on it all. Things have taken longer than we thought, but I think we are going to be digging a hole on monday, and pouring concrete on April 1.
On Sunday after Scott got home, we headed out for California. We stopped in Fillmore with Aunt Tafta to go to part of church, and then hit the road again. We drove to Barstow and stopped for the night. It was a good day of driving, we had packed all our food and the girls did well. The next day we got to LA, checked into our hotel early and then went down to the beach. Those are the first pics by the pier and with Sara by the puddles, and sand castle. Sara was afraid of te waves, but the girls loved it. Sara found the puddles and played in the sand. They all collected lots of seashells. After that we ate and walked to Disneyland to check how long it took. we also got our tickets without long lines. The next day was all Disney, and I have to say a lot of the rides are really scary for small children. But after a few misses, we had a lot of fun. Sara needed her nap, so she and Scott went back to the after lunch and I stayed and did a few other rides with the girls. Wednesday we had "lunch with the Princesses" which I had pre-booked. It was pricey but better than standing in the princess lines. Just the big girls and I went, since all the online reviews said it took a while. You get 3 course meal and 4 princesses come around to each table. The girls liked it, but didn't have a lot to say to them. We had a fancy dessert, that is the picture. The next day we went on a lot of rides the girls knew they liked. We got there early and left early, so the lines were not too bad. The kids were really good about waiting. Overall it was an exhausting but fun trip. We had a cool hotel with a kid suite. It had bunkbeds and a fold out couch, and a king-size bed for me and Scott. I booked everything in October, but it was all great and except for the really expensive food in LA, it was all good. The last night Scott took the older girls back to watch the fireworks show, and they really liked it. We drove back in one day and were happy to be home!
Now we are back to showing the house and all the regular stuff. Abby missed school a lot and is happy to be back. Scott is working and busy, but we get to see him at night so it's ok. Baby #4 is still kicking and growing and I can't believe I am 30 weeks and getting into the 2 week doctor visits. I am not that uncomfortable, but getting there. I still sleep fine, so that is nice.

Happy Balentimes Day!

Today we did not do much at all. Tonight we are going to my friend Brandee's house to hang out with her and other military wives and kids. Their husbands are in Afghanistan for a few more weeks, and have been gone for a year. That is partly why I can't complain too much about Scott being in Georgia. He will be back in a few weeks as well, hopefully they go quickly! This morning the girls found their Valentines treats on the table and were very excited. They think it's the Valentine Fairy, but whatever, it is fun to suprise them on holidays. I didn't give them too much candy, and forced them to eat breakfast before they got all sugared up. I got cute shirts at Old Navy a while ago, so i had them put them on (this is a big deal for Isabel...she only likes dresses!). My mom sent the little antenna. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

The Promised Pics

OK- again I don't know how to get the words next to the pictures I want.... but here's the info:
Abby and her teacher, Mrs. Davis getting her Student of the Month Award. Sara with her birthday cake, and Abby again with her dinosaur project...it is an Iguanodon made of clay in a tissue box she painted. I thought it was really cute, but was shocked to start these things so early! Enjoy!

A quick Hello

This weekend Scott was able to fly out for a fabulous 36 hours together. We went to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast, went to Cabela's ( a must) and hung out. This morning he and the girls went on a short Blazer ride...we were both amazed the thing started, let alone ran. I got to shower ALL BY MYSELF! The girls sure miss their daddy, but they are good girls and we now have so few days we were able to make a paper chain countdown. The countdown also had to include "Balentimes" Day, which is very exciting for some reason. I am not sure yet what I am going to do, but I have some other friends with military husbands....I just remembered I need to get a baby sitter! Anyways, there are about 25 days to go. It is funny how that seems short when compared to the long time he's been gone, but it is still a while. I have been insanely busy these past few weeks, which has made them go by pretty quickly. We have started talking to our builder for our house in Monticello, and are excited about the whole thing. it is stressful but fun at the same time, especially since I am pretty much doing it all myself. We will probably break ground in early march. Scott wants to make sure nothing crazy happens to prevent him from graduating his course, then we will sign the papers. Any of you who have built, we will take advice. The company is smaller and seems really on top of things, but you never can tell. I feel good about them, though. their website is http://www.bishop-homes.com/ and the plan we like is the Melborn, but it's different from the plan they have on there, a little. They are very flexible with changes.

Sara turned 2 on Friday...I will post pics later, when I download them. We did not do anything too fancy, but she loved being sung to, and loved singing to herself! Isabel learned to write her name this week, and Abby got Student of the Month for her Kindergarten class. I managed to keep everyone clothed and fed, and even folded some laundry! Took girls to check-ups and made a birthday cake, kept Scott's visit a surprise and kept one baby in the tummy. I have a checkup on tuesday and another ultrasound in 2 weeks to make sure everything is still ok with the baby. I still stress about everything, but am hopeful I can have this baby at the right time.

The house has been showing 2-3 people per week the last little while, but we have also gone 2 weeks without a visit. It should pick up a little more as the weather gets warmer. We are not too worried, but optimistic it will sell.

Scooter Girls and Pretty Dresses

Just a few pics for you to look at. Today we went shopping and to Chili's-just the girls (as always) Sara lost interest so we took our Molten Chocolate Cake home with us (they have them to go, ya know) Yum...our favorite. I got a few dresses for all the girls while I was shopping for Isabel's birthday, that is the other pics. sara has her hair stuck to the balloon, she hated it getting static-y and sticking to her face,but couldn't figure out how to fix it. Yes, she had a little black eye thanks to her sister....it's better now. The girls finally got to go outside with their scooters and had some fun on the sidewalk. They are a little sick and it was a little cold, but fun anyways. Today it poured rain and so the snow is going away. Hopefully they get better and can ride more before it snows again.

Everything since Christmas...ahh!

I am trying to catch up on almost a month of news, so please forgive the setup of this post... For Christmas Scott got to come home for 4 days. It was really good to see him, and fun to suprise the girls. They knew he was coming, but not when. He got here very late and so he was just there when they woke up. Even Sara was excited, I was not sure how she would react to him, but she loves her daddy. We are so looking forward to when he is finally home for good. The picture of the room is Scott's room at FLETC in Georgia. He shares a bathroom with a guy next door, but otherwise has his own little dorm. He is doing well out there but is ready to be done. Scott got here on Christmas Eve, we were able to just hang out and spend time together. We did a few projects, but didn't have much planned. I got the girls new pajamas, but they all were a little big. Christmas day was fun, the girls got their stockings and were excited about those. Sara was sick and grumpy, but that seems to be the norm this winter. There was a lot of Barbie and princess stuff this year. I got a really nice camera, which I am trying to figure out, so any of my photographer friends can give me any advice they have! I made Scott a shadow box and scrapbook of all his Army medals, awards, and certificates. I still can't believe he's really not in the military anymore. I miss some of the discounts, but I'm so glad he never got deployed. We enjoyed most of our time with the National Guard. Thanks to everyone who sent us gifts!

Scott headed back to Georgia all to soon, but the girls did better than I thought they would. They are brave. We hung out until school started up again, and we got back in our routine. Abby was asking when Kindergarten was every day. She loves school. Our next big event was Isabel's birthday this weekend. She turned 4 and got her Mermaid birthday she has been asking for pretty much since Abby birthday in July. On friday we had a few friends over for a party and it went really well. They made necklaces, popped balloons and ate cake. Saturday we went to the new Draper temple open house and toured that with Scott's parents and brother and his family. It was cool to see. We went to Rexburg, ID last year on Isabel's birthday to see that temple, so this is getting to be a habit :) After the temple we went back to Orem and had a little family party. I ordered a Dairy Queen cake and they did a great job on it. It was fun but we were all exhausted and came home. Isabel got a little scooter to go with the one Abby got for Christmas. Hers has 3 wheels, though. We can't wait for the snow to melt a little so they can quit rididng around the house! I gave her a lot of dresses since she pretty much refuses to wear anything else, no matter what the temperature. I got a ton on clearance, so I was happy. She also got the movie with Ariel's daughter and Tinkerbell movie from Scott. I hope it was all she wanted, she has been talking about it forever!

If I haven't said it on here, we are expecting our fourth child at the end of May. As of last Tuesday, everything is looking great, the baby is perfect, and my previous problems seem to have healed up. I continue to "take it easy" as much as I can being a single mom showing a house. We put the house up last week as well and have had a few people come through. If you want to check Realtor.com, it is Eagle Mountain, UT priced at 179,500. It is a snowy brown house that says "cute and clean"...no pressure :) We hope it will sell soon so we can comfortably start building our house in Monticello.
